Privacy Policy for OmniCast TV

Effective date: 02.10.2026 Developer: Levent Kurt Contact: reachdevel@gmail.com

OmniCast TV ("the app") is a free, wireless receiver for Android TV. This policy explains what the app does with information.

Summary

OmniCast TV does not collect, store, sell or share personal data. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no servers of its own.

Information the app handles

Send files

If you switch on "Send files", the TV runs a small web page on your local network. Files you choose on your phone or computer are sent directly to the TV, shown there, and stored only temporarily in the app's private cache. They are deleted when you close the viewer, ten minutes after you leave it, when the feature is switched off, or when the app restarts. They are never uploaded anywhere else. Access needs the 6-digit code shown on the TV.

Optional tips (Support screen)

The app has an optional "Support" screen where you can leave a tip. Tips do not unlock anything. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play, and we do not receive your payment details. We only see, in the Google Play Console, that a purchase of a given amount was made, as reported by Google. Google's own privacy policy applies to the payment.

Information we do not collect

Name, email, location, contacts, advertising identifiers, usage analytics, crash reports sent to us, or any data about the content you cast.

Permissions

The app requests network permissions (internet, Wi-Fi state, multicast) to discover and receive casts; a foreground service to keep the receiver running; boot completion to start automatically when you choose; notifications to show the receiver status; "display over other apps" so it can show the player when a cast begins while another app is open; and the Google Play billing permission for the optional tips. None of these is used to collect data.

Third parties

The app does not include advertising or analytics SDKs. Content you cast may come from third-party websites and apps whose own privacy policies apply.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Security

Pairing keys are kept in app-private storage. Some local-network protocols, such as DLNA/UPnP, are unencrypted and unauthenticated by design; use the app on networks you trust.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
